Of course, not every raspberry cocktail fits into those parameters, but most do, making them ideal for any of the “red” holidays like Valentine’s Day, the Fourth of July, or Christmas. Because most of them are light and fruity, you may want to turn to them in the spring and summer months, as well. In other words, raspberry cocktails are pretty much a year-round mixed drink option. For this list, I’ve pulled together 20 of my favorites. I’ve tried to include a variety of drinks made with gin, rum, whiskey, and other bases to suit everyone’s alcohol preferences. Enjoy!
Best Ever Raspberry Gimlet and More!
1. Floradora
This semisweet, gin-based drink is brilliantly red at the bottom and fades to a translucent light pink at the top. It’s a beautiful drink that’ll draw plenty of compliments. Plus, it tastes great, too. The combination of gin, lime juice, crème de framboise (raspberry) liqueur, and ginger ale gives it a brightly tart flavor that’s a bit like lime Perrier with raspberries.
2. French Martini
This martini may have a lovely light pink color, but in terms of potency, it’s strong. You’ll make it with premium vodka (preferably a French vodka), Chambord liqueur, fresh pineapple juice, and a dash of sea salt for contrast. It has a bold, slightly tropical taste that’s perfect for summertime, and as with all martinis, the colder you can get it, the better it’ll taste.
3. Raspberry Vodka Lemonade Cocktail
Raspberry vodka lemonade somehow manages to be sweet, tart, and tangy all at once, and the addition of fresh fruit in every glass only makes things better. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare, but it doesn’t taste precisely like lemonade. It has more of a boozy fruit punch flavor to me. If you prefer fruity drinks that are a little on the sour side, cut back on the simple syrup.
4. Raspberry Caipirinha
Here’s another wonderfully tart drink with a shockingly red hue. You can whip it up in only 5 minutes with half a lime, some raspberries, a teaspoon of sugar, and two ounces of cachaca. Thanks to the cachaca, there’s a slight spiciness beneath the sweet and sour flavor of the cocktail. It adds depth and richness to the overall taste.
5. Raspberry Bellini
If you prefer mixed drinks that are light, bubbly, and not too alcohol-heavy, try this recipe for the raspberry bellini instead. You’ll make it with only three ingredients – champagne, Torani raspberry syrup, and raspberries – and it’s a tingly, elegant drink that’ll help you join in with the festivities without getting too drunk.
6. Raspberry Mint Tequila Smash
This drink is robust, icy cold, and delicious. You’ll make it with a base of muddled mint leaves and raspberries, agave syrup, and lime juice. To that, you’ll add silver tequila and lots of ice. Add more mint, raspberries, and lime wedges as garnishes, and you’re all set. It takes about 5 minutes tops to prepare. If you like drinks that are incredibly fruity but don’t entirely mask the alcohol flavor underneath, this is the one for you. It’s citrusy, fruity, and 100% perfect for any summer occasion.
7. Raspberry Gimlet
This gorgeously pink drink is sure to turn a few heads, and it looks spectacular under a black light. Even better – its ultraviolet color isn’t all it has going for it. The sweetness of the raspberries pairs flawlessly with the sour notes of lime to make one absolutely unforgettable mixed drink.
8. Champagne and Chambord
This 3-minute drink is a deep, rich red, and fizzy to the max. You’ll make it with only three ingredients – Chambord Liqueur, champagne, and fresh raspberries – and it has a clean, simple flavor that’s sweet without being overly sugary.
9. Raspberry Daiquiri
This recipe for a raspberry daiquiri is dry and somewhat tart, but it’s delightfully refreshing on a hot summer’s day. If you want a slightly sweeter drink, be sure to add the optional orange liqueur, and don’t forget to sugar the rim.
10. Rum and Raspberry Cocktail
If you’re looking for a raspberry cocktail recipe that’s perfect for the holiday season, you’ll have to try this recipe for the rum and raspberry cocktail. It’s phenomenal. First of all, it smells absolutely incredible, but its taste and appearance are equally impressive. It’s a chunky, bubbly cocktail that’s both bittersweet and tart, and it takes only 5 minutes to make. You’ll prepare it with raspberries, spiced rum, raspberry liqueur, cranberry juice, and lemonade. If you’re making it for a summer drink, that’s all you’ll need. However, if you’re serving it at a winter celebration, be sure to add the rosemary and raspberry garnish, as they just give the drink such a Christmas feel.
11. Black Raspberry Chambord Drink with Lime and Tonic
This is a simple three-ingredient drink that takes practically no time or effort to make. It tastes like carbonated raspberry soda topped with Sprite and a shot of alcohol. You’ll love its taste, color, and – if you’re anything like me – its dry fizziness most of all.
12. Sparkling Raspberry Chambord Prosecco Cocktail
I love the way this drink looks. It’s elegant, delicate, and would look stunning at any high-class soiree. The taste is excellent, too — mildly sweet with just a hint of raspberry tartness. If you’re planning a formal evening and need lovely drinks that taste wonderful, as well, this recipe is the one you’ll want.
13. Raspberry Rose Sangria
Ah, sangria… One of my all-time favorite summer drinks, no matter what kind of fruit you use in it. This one combines raspberries, lemon, a bottle of rosé, and lemon-lime soda. If you want it a bit sweeter, you can also add the optional raspberry simple syrup. If you do, start small, tasting in increments. Otherwise, you’ll quickly find the sangria too sweet to drink. If you’re looking for a fruity, refreshing poolside drink, sangria of any kind is hard to beat.
14. Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini
The raspberry lemon drop martini is another tartly sweet drink with a bold fruity flavor. Like most martinis, it’s strong, and you’ll get a lot of the lemon flavor in every sip. In my opinion, this icy cold martini tastes more like raspberry lemonade than the raspberry lemonade recipe above!
15. Raspberry Truffle Cocktail
This hot, creamy drink is the hot chocolate variation you never knew you needed. But once you try it, you’ll never want to do without it again. It’s thick, foamy, and has a decadent raspberry-chocolate taste that’s simply out of this world. It’s perfect for long, cold winter nights, but it tastes so good, you’ll want to make it year-round.
16. Zipper Cocktail
This fizzy, zesty drink is lovely, tasty, and unbelievably refreshing. There’s a bit of sweetness to it, but it’s not heavy enough to make you feel weighed down after drinking it. I’m not sure why it’s called the Zipper, but I like to think it’s because it puts a little “zippity doo dah” in your step after drinking it.
17. Raspberry Herb Smash
The flavor of this ruby-red cocktail will differ depending on which herbs you decide to use in it. You’ll get the brightest color from the sage, but I prefer the mint for flavor. It takes about a minute to make, and it’s just strong enough to make you feel the alcohol without putting you too far into tipsy territory.
18. Raspberry Collins
If you’re looking for something light and lovely to liven up your brunch spread, you’ll love this powder pink cocktail. It takes 5 minutes and six ingredients – raspberries, honey, gin, lemon juice, lime juice, and club soda – to mix up, and it’s as sweet and charming in taste as it is in appearance. It’s really just a Tom Collins with a bit more fruit added in, but it takes on a totally unique flavor that’s all its own. Add a few fruit garnishes around the side, and you’ll have a real hit on your hands.
19. Raspberry Mojito
When it comes to cool, refreshing mixed drinks, it’s hard to beat the mojito. And with this recipe, you can jazz up the typical minty drink by adding raspberries and raspberry rum. The fruitiness and mintiness complement one another perfectly, and it’s similar in potency to a regular mojito.
20. Raspberry Mimosa
This stunningly beautiful, entirely elegant mimosa is perfect for any formal occasion. However, it’s also so easy to make and so tasty that you’ll want to make it all the time. All you’ll need to make it is a lemon wedge, granulated sugar (for decorating the rim), raspberry sorbet, Chambord, sparkling Moscato, and raspberries for garnishes. The drink is super sweet, super red, and super delicious. Plus, it just looks fantastic with its sugared rim and frosty, frothy top. The great thing about raspberry mimosas is that they taste light, cool, and refreshing enough to enjoy in the summer, but they look like the ideal wintertime drink. Click on a star to rate it!
